The STPP community is made up of a Steering Committee, Program Staff, Faculty Affiliates, Postdocs, Students, and Alumni.
The Steering Committee is comprised of 13 individuals who brainstorm and develop strategies to ensure continued funds for the program, develop collaborative partnerships across campus, review/update the curriculum, and help to ensure and better the future of the program.
The Program Staff includes the Program Director and Managing Director. Both handle STPP Program administration, as well as work to build the STPP community, develop resources for students and alumni, and plan events.
The STPP Students are a vital part of the STPP community. Through the STPP-affiliated student group, InSPIRE, they help plan and sponsor events related to science and technology policy. InSPIRE also brings together graduate students and postdoctoral scholars from across the University of Michigan to discuss policy issues related to science and technology. While many of its members are in the STPP Graduate Certificate program, membership is open to all graduate students from across campus.
